FIRST Tech Challenge UK events are fuelled by a squad of passionate Gamechangers volunteering their time to deliver epic experiences.
Whether you’re a seasoned event pro or a total newbie, we need your help to create events that transform lives.

Be part of an epic season
We’ll be back in 2024 with more events than ever – including numerous local practices in Dec and Jan, at least eight regional qualifying tournaments in Mar and a national championship in Jun. We need you to be the engine of these events.
Dates and venues will be released in May 2023.
Roles to match your skills
You don’t have to be a rocket scientist, although kudos if you are. You just need loads of energy, enthusiasm and a desire to do good.
The techies
You love gadgets, work in tech or simply like robots. You’ll troubleshoot and provide technical support, so teams and their bots are game ready.
The gamers
You like to be at the heart of the action! On the game field or running matches like clockwork, you’ll keep scores in check and call out foul play.
The organisers
You have an unhealthy appreciation for spreadsheets and to-do lists. Flex your project management muscles and keep the show going.
Boss it with training
Not sure you’re cut out for the job? Many of the roles can be learned on the day, but every game changer has access to Makerspace – our resource library – with tons of helpful training documents and support. For specialist roles, we’ll run some online training before the big day and provide you with an A-Team leader to lean on too, so you’ll never be left in the lurch.
We’ve got your covered
You donate your time, but leave everything else to us! We’ll keep you fuelled throughout the day with food and refreshments on tap. You’ll also look the part in our official Game Changer gear. Above all, we promise positive vibes, awesome networking and a feel good buzz.
