Young people deserve to be inspired by STEM like they’re at a music festival or sports event.

More than a robotics competition

FIRST Tech Challenge UK is more than robots – it’s about soft skills, teamwork and community. Our free events provide a platform for young people to showcase their talent on a global stage.

Scrimmages

Dec 2023

An afternoon at a local Champion Organisation to practice on the game field, meet other teams, share knowledge and grow your network.

Tournaments

Mar 2024

A one-day regional tournament, playing five qualifying matches, earning industry-judged awards and hopefully gaining a spot at the UK champs.

Championship

Jul 2024

The most impressive teams will progress to the UK championship to showcase their talent and compete to earn national awards.

2024 event schedule

Tournament dates and locations will be published by 31 May 2023. We expect venues to be up to 60 minutes away from 90% of teams. Any non-fee-paying team more than 90 minutes from a venue can apply for a travel award.
